Indoor Localization System
Indoor localization systems using POZYX UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology rely on small, low-power transceivers that communicate with each other to determine the position of objects or people within a confined indoor space.
POZYX UWB indoor localization systems offer high accuracy, scalability, and flexibility, making them a popular choice for indoor positioning and tracking solutions.

The system consists of three distinct parts:
- Antenna and tag network. They form the main structure of the communication system for obtaining real-time positioning of people or mobile objects. The tags are mobile devices whose position is to be known, while the antennas are devices that are fixed at a given position and receive the information emitted by the tags.
- Gateway. This device is the positioning server and connects the antennas via Ethernet. It also collects the data it receives from the antennas and converts it into positions. It enables the connection to the POZYX web application.
- Web interface. In it you can configure the devices and visualise in real time the trajectories followed by the tags connected to the server.
Positioning calculation methods
The two positioning calculation methods available in this Pozyx localisation system are the TDOA method and the TWR method.
The TDOA method calculates the distance to the object or tag by measuring the difference in the arrival times of the signals at the antennas while in the TWR method several messages are exchanged between the device to be located and the transmitter, in this case, tag and antenna (‘anchor’). To obtain good accuracy with the TDOA method it is necessary for the tag to be within the area formed by the antennas, and it also worsens with the appearance of obstacles that can generate interference in the signals emitted by the tag, for example, metallic objects. This is not the case with the TWR method, which thanks to its bidirectional communication system can compensate for these errors while maintaining good positioning accuracy.

POZYX Web Interface
POZYX provides a web interface, used for installation, which also allows the visualisation and configuration of multiple elements of the positioning calculation.
